These boxes can transfer Data rates up to 400mbps,with the IEEE 1394Interface . They can be used as a portable CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, Or to house an IDE hard drive, again compatible for all ATA 133/100/66 drives. The USB interface can transfer Data rates up to 480mbps, with the USB v2 .0Interface. Further they are backward compatible to the older USB 1.0 speeds.
