Power Supply Units
If you have a Power Supply problem, note the following:
Unlike AT PSU's, ATX units will not power up unless connected to the 20pin plug in the mainboard, or if connected to testing equipment.
- Ensure the voltage selector to the rear is set to UK standard 230V.
- Turn on the Power switch (if present) on rear of PSU.
- Some ATX PSU's require the Power LED to be connected to the mainboard. Connect this to the two pin M/B connector and then depress the PC case's power switch.
AMD approved PSU's
We offer six models that meet AMD's recommendations. These are based on the ability of a supply to provide appropriate power to the +5V DC and +3.3V DC power rails. The following have been evaluated and recommended by AMD's in-house testing centre:
Apollo 300w & P4 ATX Psu
Apollo 420w & P4 ATX Psu
Apollo 525w & P4 ATX Psu
Powerman 300W P4 ATX Psu
Powerman 250W P4 ATX Psu
Eagle 350w P4 ATX Psu
